The article quotes "650 calories and 29 grams of fat for three" normal sliders. Then 230 calories and 12 grams of fat per "healthy" slider (690 calories and 36 grams of fat for three, if you do the math) ... am I missing something?

Ok, I just finished reading both The Lost Symbol *and* The Skin Map. I wrote a review of The Skin Map for Booksneeze (by the way, it was your blog that pointed me over to them, thanks!).

If I had to vote between just those two, I would vote for The Skin Map. Both were good books, but I found Lost Symbol to be a little draining ... from a Christian standpoint. I don't want to give you any spoilers.

Also - there are several other publishers that have free books for bloggers programs if you're interested.

Of course there is a sliver of truth in those other religions.

Every religion that has a god is based on God - or, at least it was "In the Beginning ..."

In the beginning, there was God. God created man, and from there (skipping a lot of detail, obviously), man spread over the Earth. At first, he took God with him, but as we see time and time again in scripture (and in the real world!), man forgot abou tthe true God and turned instead to his own created gods.

The creation stories in a lot of religions are extremely similar to the story of creation in the Bible - look for example at Navajo beliefs, which are very, very close.

Somewhere along the way, things went wrong, but in the beginning, man took God with him, and in creating his own false gods, the word of God Himself was misinterpreted, misunderstood, and misused - but the small 'slivers of truth' remain.

What a great experience! Thanks for sharing it with us. I have kids as young as 13 in my Sunday School class, and they constantly surprise me. You never know what's in store.

I'm still getting flooded in the RSS with 'Hello Worlds' - is there any way to stop blogs in the moderation queue from popping up in the main RSS feed?

I don't think I could agree more. Too much clutter, mental, physical, or otherwise, works as perfectly to wall you off from God as sin does.
