What OS ? What iphone ? What firmware, baseband etc...What were you trying to do ? You have to provide more information.

Check your USB cable and ports, when you plug it into the computer does it charge the battery ?

Start over again, restore to the No_bb 511 you've made..Use sim to activate, then jailbreak again.If you are using 9b206 use redsnow to jailbreak. if using 9b208 use snowbreeze to make a custom 5.1.1 9b208 ipsw, restore to that snowbreeze custom firmware.

Jailbreak with redsnow in dfu mode, uncheck install cydia. At the end of the process go through the setup activation process you will see this time no sims is needed to activate.

Press and hold both sleep and home button until phone restarts. Check camera app again, if still doesnt work follow above advice from DHL.

I prefer 5.1.1 because you can delete photos from photostream album.
