The same in Penang too! I was visiting the Penang last year and I had to pay like $50 or $60 for very short trips around the city. The taxis there do not run on meter. I am appalled since Penang is touted to be a "better" governed city.

To differ, God only helps those who help themselves. Relying on God alone is not going to work.

"Friends, please understand that I have no problems with quotas. All I ask is that we are given a fair shot at entering university when we have worked harder."
Ern Kuing, the mere fact that there is a quota implies that there is limited spaces for non-Malays. So how would you even get a fair shot?
I share in your frustration and dilemma. Malaysia, as a nation, needs to grow and evolve out of its past. Obviously, the current path is not sustainable and we are now at crossroads with so many racial, political, and economic issues that are stalemate and irreparable. Th future lies in the hands (and mind) of fellow Malaysians to do something about it. Being complacent and apathetic no longer is an option.

"Now, however, something is happening, I am still unable to control them," he told reporters Cameron Highlands today."
If you are unable to do your duty, please resign so someone more capable will be able to tackle the problem.
