i think we can take some heart out of this performance. sure, the result isnt at all flattering, but hopefully if we pull one back we'll lift. This game reminds me of when we played arsenal last year at home. Booed off at half time 2-0 down but managed to get back to 2-2. Hopefully we can do that again!

Its unfortunate that since Rob Green's world cup howler that everyone is on his back because hes a quality keeper. Every small mistake that he makes is now magnified by the commentators whereas in truth he made some stunning saves. The commentators put him at fault for the first goal:
1. He did very well to get anything on the first shot and
2. Downing was in an offside position when the shot was taken, but of course this was dismissed by the commentators and a huge point was not made of it.

Funny that. Im sure if the same had happened to Manchester United/Liverpool/Chelsea they would have been up in arms.

The life of a west ham fan *sigh*

German international - id hazard a guess at David Odonkor.
He plays in the 2nd division in spain for Betis but has been capped by germany before - i remember him at the last world cup. Hes a really pacy winger form what i remember. Seeing as we are so desperate to strengthen in this area this could be possible but at 26 years old hes not exactly experienced (although he does have 16 caps to his name).

As for the spanish bloke id love to see us sign César Azpilicueta - really promising right defender who can also play centre half. Has already played nearly 100 games for Osasuna which for a defender at the age of 20 is no mean feat.

Both of these are just guesses but who knows could happen!

lucas neill has always had the long throw in his locker (tim cahill's first goal v. japan at the 2006 world cup), nevertheless glad to see the aussies claim another extremely undeserved victory!

I guess we'll see if Sullivan is serious about listening to the fans once you send this survey away. Not sure whether we should go as far as having a say in transfers and the like however - that should be the managers doing which is clearly not the case as we dont have one yet we are still chasing players!

My greatest fear is the impact this will have on the players. They seemed to love the guy and have always been behind him - remember diamanti's celebration against birmingham? parker against wigan?

He was operating under terrible conditions so im not sure if anyone in his position would have done too much better although you can see why they sacked him. I really hope that the club dont dispense of players like Diamanti after this too because i think he's the type of player weve needed for a while now... he adds a lot of spark.
