This happened a few days before the law was passed. Is it racial profiling? Yes. Is it at all related to a piece of legislation that had not yet been signed and doesn't go into effect for another three months? No.

If the parents are legal residents/citizens, their kids are legal to. They aren't going after children with this bill, they are going after, in part, the reverse: parents coming over illegally and giving birth on U.S. soil so that their children are U.S. citizens.
