Although it's a new task in converting Twitter people into money, a contest like this is a really good idea to get Twitter people.

I'm not a fan of the rapid increase in blogs, it just makes finding the good ones a lot harder to find. And when you get poor ones using dodgy techniques to improve their search ranking on google, it makes finding the good ones nigh on impossible.

The Behind The Scenes is always a winner - even if you're not a famous business, I find that most people are inherently nosy and jump at the chance when you release even what you think might be irrelevant information about the inner workings of your business. Also agree with the Video Posts - that doubles as getting you a higher listing on web searches since the search engines really really like video (at least they do at the moment).

That's good advice from the perspective of someone writing the blog. The major problem (as bizchickblogs mentioned) isn't the subject or your point of view but the comments mess that will inevitably come should you keep tackling the controversial subjects bearing in mind that when you write something then you are going to attract the opinions of extreme people on opposite sides of the argument. And the internet has this funny knack of getting the nutters (for want of a better word) to participate.
