I have both versions of Scene It on the 360, and have to say Box Office Smash is an improvement over the original. The mix of movies is quite great. I've played at least 7 short games, which are really not that short, and 1 long game, which is in fact long, and only had one movie scene repeat, however it featured different questions. That alone impressed me.

If you're a fan of Scene It, or if you're seeking a good family game, Box Office Smash is a good deal. And the cost is reasonable in that you get four controllers with batteries that can be used in other quiz games, such as Wits n Wagers.

Last played was Call of Duty World at War. They online multiplayer is rather addtictive, and I'm finding has all the great qualities of COD4, but with different weapons. Working on leveling up at the moment.

There are possible ways to address the issue such as a review prior to release, but no one really wants to go that route due to the amount of resources it may require. Then you have the YouTube/Craigslist user control model, where others flag the content if them deem it inappropriate. And although that kinda works, there's multiple issues with such a system, it may potentially create new issues.

Actually I don't envy Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo, because this will be a tough one to overcome initially. I think we'll see more user generated content at some point, as I think customization is a good way to achieve and sustain customers. I know I played Lode Runner far longer than I would have any other game, because of the custom content.

Some of the earliest user created content I recall was probably back in the early 80s for Pinball Construction Set, and Lode Runner. The latter is supposed to appear on XBLA, although I suspect with a graphical update and probably (I'm guessing) sans the custom editor.

If you look hard enough, you can find a couple of 360 titles that do offer some level of user customization that can be distributed to others. Forza 2 comes to mind with custom paint jobs. I think by in large though, Microsoft has struggled with the concept. I'm sure it's something they'd like to support, but as we're seeing with LittleBigPlanet, there's concern about content from a legality point of view-- because you know SOMEONE is going to sue if there is an infringement present. I'm sure there's other concerns too, such as if the content is too adult.

Sony has offered this type of promotion for the last couple of years. If you sign up for a Sony credit card, (this year, a Playstation card) you get get a deal on a PS3 or a TV. They did this last Christmas, and then extended the deal up until mid last year. The one item to note on this card, you have 0 interest for the first year, and then it defaults to 29.99%!!! The rate is beyond ridiculous if carry a balance past the introductory period or use it for anything else and carry a balance. Now if you pay off the account or transfer the balance before the introductory period ends, then it may be a decent deal. The card itself is from Chase/JPMorgan.

Default APR on the Playstation card is prime + 26.99%, but will not exceed 29.99%. Right now you can get a credit card from the largest bank at 0% for the first year, then afterwards it's prime + 3% (assuming you remain in good standing) ...just to give you an idea of how much interest they'll charge you for the Playstation card.
