Fortunately we don't have to make that deal. Just because we in Texas haven't particularly enjoyed many of Perry's policies certainly doesn't mean want your guy. We understand that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Regardless of Perry's past performance, his comments absolutely reflect the opinion of every Texan I know. It is great to be a Texan for sure.

aggie,

Kay Bailey Hitchison is absolutely NOT a true conservative. It makes my stomach turn just thinking that she has convinced people that she is conservative. She makes a lot non-conservative comments, and before Pres. Obama took office, she voted that way as well. I must say that you "0" posting score is not really a problem for most of us at the 9-12 project as we all started that way. Good grief. Oh yeah, GO TECH! ha.

rseteriors,

as a Texan I can honestly say that this is one of the only times Perry has come through for us. he is weak on most (not all) other conservative issues. term limits are necessary. there are not enough good ones to justify allowing the bad ones to remain in office because of completely ignorant voters. I must say that do hope that Perry keeps it up; his comments were certainly encouraging. also, if i must choose between Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchison...it's Perry all the way. lesser of two liberals in conservative clothing. my 2 cents.

Yet, the fact still remains that most people in their 20's didn't do any research about either candidate, and don't know squat about politics. 28 yrs old.

I agree with you about you would rather have the govt know how much you make vs. what you buy. Let me offer this up for thought though. If we paid for things in cash the govt wouldn't have a clue about what you were buying, and at the same time they would be getting paid. Also, if you are using a card to buys things now then the govt. already has the avenue to know what you are buying. I don't really subscribe to this kind of paranoia, but nonetheless it's true.

Get him out of there. Quit worrying about someone knowing the Webster's definition of an earmark, and realize that the Founders didn't want anyone to stay in too long. I hope you can find the truth about this in the LIbrary of Congress. I've been there...not that impressive. I'm not sure I'd be using it as a bragging point. You are on the other hand acting very 9-12ish. Ha.

No exemptions. Wait, and re-apply. The 75% rule sounds like a good way to keep Pellosi in power. The fact that there is term limits in place will either eliminate the bad ones from running or get them out before they can do too much damage. Good ones will follow the present good ones. GET THEM OUT OF THERE!

Well, according to the 5000 Year Leap, our country was actually founded on the Anglo-Saxon and Israelite "People's Law" theory. They (The Founders) did believe very deeply in Christian values, but our country was actually founded on something a little different.
