I'm speaking as a lifetime Chevy guy and speaking as the car guy expert in the family, I won't recommend Chevys to my kids, brothers, sisters or mother again either. I've drag raced a Chevy Nova for years and my last 6 new cars were GM vehicles - the last a Yukon that stickered for 52 thousand dollars. I haven't seen this reported in this latest news about Congress and insider trading, but it's worse than is being reported. If you can believe it, it's not only legal for Congressmen to trade on inside information, but people in the congressman's office - such as congressional aides - are legally permitted to trade on insider info also.

Brings back memories of Hillary Clinton, trading cattle futures and turning 1 thousand dollars into 100 thousand dollars, despite having no experience in those kinds of financial instuments. No place like the futures market for a novice investor. Despite allegations of fraud, corruption and bribery, there were no official investigations of the trading and Clinton was never charged with any wrongdoing. Politicians sure are lucky on their stock investments. I wonder if my luck might change if I got in with the political class?

It is definately unethical, but our politicians have conveniently only made it illegal for us peasants. The ruling class lives by a differant set of rules, don't ya know. Honest politicians are few and far between. They need to be swept out of office and not allowed to lobby and pedal their influence once they are kicked out. Term limits anyone?
