I think the only permanent damage these girls are going to suffer is from a parent who feels it's everyone else's fault but her own. No tonly are they are learning to blame someone else very publicly when a mistake is made, they are teaching them to be victims.

Teachers and staff are not "too damned lazy" - they are hard-working, dedicated people who have to put up with a lot of "too damned lazy" parents who think it's the school's job to teach their kids everything from reading & writing to common sense,

Wake up - if you have kids, parent them - quit blaming everyone else but yourself!

From what I understand she lead the police on quite the wild goose chase when they were trying to find this guy. If she was WITH the cops, then how was she in danger of him killing her? This is a child that got herself in too deep and doesn't know how to get out. She has been coached very well by her attorney to use fear as her defense.

She was the only witness to the trooper's murder - she will have to live with herself no matter what the verdict is.

Wonderful photographs. My great-grandfather and two of my great uncles worked on building the Kalakala. Hopefully they can restore it and make it viable.

If they could just get the Sounder train to run LATER on game nights, you might just pick up a few more fans who wouldn't have to pay for parking, etc. Just a thought......

Corruption isn't the issue in Eatonville. It's ignorance and "sandbox" issues. The town suffers from a mentality of "it's always been this way" and "it was good enough for my grandparents, so why change?" There are a few key people in town who block any sense of change or innovation to make the town better. For those who keep trying to bring more revenue and jobs to the town, it's like beating your head against a brick wall. The good old boy system is alive and well in Eatonville, and it will be its demise.

Here's the real issue - the mayor doesn't get along with the city council. So, since they are at a standstill, he is forcing their hand via this threat.

In other articles it has been stated that the city is owed over $300,000 in fees for past due tickets, fines, etc. Why don't they focus on recouping that money - or at least a portion of it to continue funding the city? Those officers can write all the tickets they want, but if no one is paying them, there's really no point, is there?

I'm sorry, wasn't Miss Mollet in the truck when he shot the trooper? Hard to imagine how THAT makes this charge overblown....

What is she going to plead? Stupidity?

Wow Vinnie - your view of the world is pretty narrow.

How about trying to look at this story as someone in your community helping others rather than someone trying to rip you off for your library taxes. No one asked YOU in particular for your $$ to fund this. But, obviously you have a lot of time on your hands, so maybe you could volunteer - that's free.

But wait, maybe you are too busy involved with your kids you made...... I mean, you made them, you should take care of them, right?
