It is difficult to agree with just about everything you have said here Gary. However, you are entitled to your opinion. Bush in his first term was acceptable. Not good but acceptable. It could however, be said he was at least as good as FDR in the extreme crises he was faced with. I could not picture Gore in that position at all. The problems Bush had in the second term were mostly caused by the liberal progressives controlling both houses of congress.

When one house is controlled by one party and the other by an opposing party the result is a do nothing congress. The end result is also overreach by the executive branch (obama). Regardless of which party is in power that power must be curtailed and everyone should be in favor of limiting the executive branches power. Over two hundred years that office has usurped power not meant to be bestowed upon it by the constitution. We seem to have slipped out of the area of oversight. That in itself is not good.

Many middle of the road Republicans seem to think obama does not threaten our constitution or either our economic or world status. They think he is just number 44. Nothing could be farther from the truth. However, in reality he actually is destroying the nation with his promised fundamental transformation. The reason he is destroying this once great nation is his ignoring of the constitution and the bill of rights. If obama has his way neither will continue to exist. Watch carefully what he both says and does and it will soon be discovered they do not correspond at all.

The plague America has suffered from in (at least) the last four elections is we had to chose between the best of two evils. There has been no true patriotic American. Bush 43 was the closest and he did not meet the requirements. Being a nice person is not one of the requirements to run the most complicated nation on earth. If we continue to elect those types of people regardless of qualifications we will no longer exist as a leader in the world. Under obama, it can be said, we have dropped out of a leadership role and it will be much harder to get it back, if it is even possible. Consequently, in that sense obama has already destroyed this nation.

The more I see and hear Gowdy the more I like him and his approach to getting to the bottom of this debacle.

However, one other thing, an investigation does not necessarily mean he is going to find anything wrong attempting to get to the bottom of something like this is the discovery. It is an investigation not a prosecution. Consequently, why are the liberal progressives scared if they had nothing to hide they should not be concerned and willing to provide any information necessary to clear their name. So are they concerned and why? Any ideas?

Finally the crooks in Chicago have a little competition when it comes to having a gun. Crooks carry guns for offense law abiding citizens carry guns for self-defense! Big difference there.
