You're right, biodiesel made from vegetables grown to be made into oil is far from carbon neutral, however this is using vegetable oil that would otherwise be dumped in landfills and was originally used for cooking food. It is more like recycling, and giving a new purpose to something that would otherwise be waste.

Yes, he's right, and we do. Though we aren't _much_ worse than normal diesel, so it'll only be something we'll need to do every thousand miles or so.
