"You therefore end up supporting someone like Senator Ted Cruz, who promises to be conservatism’s 21st century Horatius at the Bridge – in this case leading a quixotic effort..."

I would simply ask Mr. Wehner if he's considered that the times bring forth the man? If the GOP base believed that its concerns were actually being addressed, and its so-called
'representatives' were actually acting in their voters' best interests, there would be no need for a Horatius, whether by the name of Cruz or any other.

And as for Mr. Wehner's condescending attitude toward the Tea party -- well, he knows what he can do with that..

Well, she's right on this count: Jimmy Carter thinks we should return to the talks because NKor only wants recognition as a nuclear power state. So in the sense that naifs like Carter think NKor is a victim of big bad America -- Pyongyang is, indeed, an "ally".

The difference between Mr. Ed and Mr. Ed is simply this: one was a talking horse, the other is a horse's @zz.

I understand the 24/7 news cycle, but wouldn't it have been better to drop it on a Monday or Tuesday morning instead of a weekend?

USA Today is reporting that George Soros has funded NPR to the tune of -- I think it was --3-million. If they have Big Daddy, they don't need our tax money.

All of this YouCut effort is well and good. There needs to be a visible sign -- many such signs -- that the House Republican leadership is paying attention to what the People are saying. They are about to deliver to the GOP a victory the party couldn't even begin to imagine two years ago. The overwhelming reason this will happen is expanded government and federal spending that rips the Constitution, the economy, and the freedom of millions. Hear the words of Rep. Mike Pence"

“There can be no compromise that allows more borrowing, more spending, more deficits and more debt. There can be no compromise that allows a tax increase on any American. There can be no compromise on defending the cherished values of the American people. There can be no compromise that leads to more taxpayer-funded bailouts. There can be no compromise on stopping their government takeover of health care. And if I didn’t make myself clear, no compromise! House Republicans will not rest until we repeal ObamaCare lock, stock and barrel.”

Woe to any Republican who goes to Capitol Hill with any other plan in mind!

Even if all the other garbage would float, his continued war on coal may be the biggest economic reason for WV to dislike him.
