There are over 15 vets within 20 minutes of Dr. Briskey so it seems pretty simple - if you don't like him, don't go there. There is a reason why he has so many clients and a waiting time to get in for an appointment - people love him, his prices are very reasonable, and he takes good care of client and pet alike. That's why they return over and over - from pup to older dog and then they go back again when they lose a pet and get another. Take a look at my facebook page – my 2 pups are my babies. I would not take them somewhere that offered sub-standard care. Lay off and let him do his work.

I have worked at 2 separate veterinary clinics and his surgery on my dogs looked like any other vets – gloves and surgery and a perfect incision site and suture job…and it cost me $300 less than an average vet would charge. He has had - what - 3 complaints in his DECADES of vet service? And one of the complainers became a return customer?! And let's be real - this person got 13 dogs operated on and FIVE FRIGGIN DAYS LATER one of them died. Yes, it sucks very much when you lose a pet, but what sucks even more is passing the blame to someone who doesn't deserve it. For all we know, this dog could have gotten into something in her yard at home...I mean, it was nearly a week after the procedure!
WOW - people are so incredibly ignorant. This vet is amazing and does what needs to be done to complete the job and to do it well. Dr. Briskey was the vet for my two dogs when I lived over there and he has my full support in this struggle against people who will complain about anything. Both my dogs were spayed there and I got to be with them as they woke up - not very many vets let you do that. Most vets leave them alone and let them wake up crying. Dr. Briskey was just in the next room with the one shown in the news video...what the heck is the newsperson complaining about? That he isn't lying down with the dog?
this idiot probably has a lot more knowledge and schooling than yourself. Last vet I took my dogs to didn't fix them after over $300. Dr. Briskey made them well in less than $30. Guess he is like every vet - sometimes he finds treatment right away, sometimes he doesn't. Same with human physicians. It always floors me when people go into a doctor and wonder why their first thought isn't true - medicine is not an exact science...sometimes you have to try some things to see that something else is wrong. For example, my gluten intolerance went undiagnosed for over 20 years - it was actually a doctor's technician that suggested I try taking gluten out of my diet and surprise, there was my problem. Only a wack-a-doodle would say they are no wack-a-doodle lol

Are you also fascinated by the fact that there is no one that has actually been to Briskey complaining? Perhaps it is equally as fascinating that at some point an individual would have to sign in and set up an account to express their opinion? Perhaps our opinion doesn't have the same clout because we don't have the "experience" and time put in posting things? Oh you of such experience. Please. People are signing in because this is something they are passionate about and maybe, like myself, they have never found a reason good enough until now to sign up and read people's ignorant remarks. Dr. Briskey is like family to me because he has always taken excellent care of my dogs, my family's dogs, and my friend's dogs. Would you not do the same for a friend of family member having an unwarranted attack?
Do your research - money is the last thing on this vet's mind...maybe try listening to the news video again...I think you may have missed some key parts.
Sonic isn't up to my standards - I actually prefer Wendy's...but that doesn't mean that people don't go to Sonic or that they provide less/worse service or not as many options. It is a matter of preference. I'm glad you like your vet - stay there. It is not too little too late. Listen to the news story one more time - I quote: "He's had a clean record with the state until now." They won't shut him down for this - otherwise it would set the precedent of shutting down every other vet that had one or two unhappy clients. People will always complain. I guess this goes to show that it is true when you try to do good by people it bites you in the ass. He should probably build up a big building and start charging a hell of a lot more so he can be like everyone else around.
I agree that these procedures should be done away with but you have to remember it was the client that requested this be done...and there are several clinics that still do these procedures - he is not the only one in the area
