I am not condoning the behavior of these people, but where is this kind of indignation when a human is assaulted or killed? Seriously people...if we get this riled up over a dog being beaten to death, don't you think it's time for a priority check? Just a thought.

I have to respectfully disagree with you on the first part of your comment. His upbringing is irrellevent...he made a choice to kill someone, and that is not a mark of a good kid!

first off, they believe in christ the prophet...just like muhammed, but not Christ the Son of God like Christians. secondly, each person is important, and it is the responsibility of the Christian to spread God's truth, whether or not a person accepts it is totally up to them. lastly, of course the koran is going to sound similar to the Bible...ever hear the saying a good lie is 50% truth?
Why are we blaming the Officer in this situation? He was dispatched to the area to take care of it. Do we so quickly forget that someone complained and called the police department?!? Why didn't the complainant call Animal Control? Maybe they don't have one up there...I don't know. There's nothing quite like reading articles that give bare facts so people can pass judgment. Cops are asked to do many crazy things and this is definitely one of them! If one kid was saved from being attacked, then wasn't it worth it?

I can't believe how they opened this article! They're implying that the use of the handgun was unnecessary because it was only a couple of bucks. Does this bother anyone else? Way to put a slant on another documented case of where a gun saved a law abiding citizen's life!
