The right and Republican party will continue to flounder as long as they pander towards the center and demonstrate concern over who the New York Times deem electable for the party, ie McCain.
A large majority of Americans are conservative and respond strongly to conservative candidates who do not waffle (See Reagan).

Nothing negative here....I am an independent and moderate however this country needs for leaders and citizens alike to draw their lines in the sand. Specter has been nothing but a liberal and a Republican in name only for years.
When this country gets 4 years of the current congress and President, for better or worse, and the differences are clearly defined, everyone can make the real choice, which are the 2010 and 2012 elections.
If America rejects Obama and ultra liberal politics, a conservative president and congress can neutralize what he accomplished in 3 months, almost as if he never existed. If we choose another cycle or two, then real history will be made. My guess is that they will be flushed, similiar to Carter.
I do fear and believe however that many American are fed up, and might be considering a more Jeffersonian solution to some of its perceived problems with their elected leaders. I see the potential for violence in the streets against both parties and the petty thiefs we call our business leaders....

Although a conservative, I was ambivalent to slightly optimistic in regards to Obama's election because Bush was such a horrible president, however Obama continues to look and act like a foolish school boy.

This is to everyone in this thread who continually refers to the illegal aliens in this country. How many of your ancestors came to this country ILLEGALLY. All of them! Not one of you on this thread has family that came here legally. Theyjust showed up on a boat, started working, killing people, killing each other etc. You don't have a problem with illegal aliens. Immigrants entering this country during the 1800's and early 1900 were not breaking the law. The US, for the most part, had an open door policy.
Three pieces of legislation passed during a 40 year period made what is taking place today at our borders a crime. Do a little homework you bigot.

The death of American citizens at the hands of illegal immigrant criminals are acceptable collateral damage for Pelosi and her ilk in their quest for an enhanced democratic voter base.
