I've been a long time GM fan and own several including a 1980 Corvette but I will never buy another one while it remains in government hands. That's a promise.
If government got into the beauty industry, a haircut would be $1,000.
Your absolutely correct sir. Same can be applied to education. The free market brings us better products at a cheaper price and eliminates scarcity. Government does the opposite.
You cannot have government intervention and freedom, government intervention begets more government intervention and so we swirl down the toilet bowl. You may think you need government assistance, but that assistance is dooming us all in the long run. This government is so interventionist at this point that we almost have a completely government run economy and it will continue to decline because government cannot solve the problems created by government. While you may be in a bad situation because of these policies asking for help is more of the same. What we need right now is people who figure out what to do on their own. We need the government to shrink, we need to think about independence not sit around crying that things are tough. For every problem everyone has there are 100 politicians salivating about how they can "solve" it and gain more control.
You can give anything you want to anyone, it's called charity and it's what the government is erasing by making it mandatory. Forced charity is not charity.
"FREE MONEY" - If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. They will destroy the dollar, the Fed is purchasing treasuries at this point, we're in big trouble and people should be preparing quickly.
The entire basis of our free society hinges on being allowed to do what you want unless you harm someone else. The person that shot your wife deserves to go to jail but the other 299,999,999 Americans do not deserve to have their rights infringed in even the tiniest way. No one has a right to health care nor should they have a right to k-12 education, it is these government funded institutions that are destroying the ability of the productive to succeed by giving wealth to the unproductive and removing competition. The free market brings cheaper products of higher quality and more availability in every case where it is allowed to function (including health care and education), our many years of government intervention and public services have nearly destroyed this country and you suggest more of it? Every government service costs 10 times what it should and has little to no accountability you just don't realize it because it's spread amongst your neighbors (some of whom don't have kids or need medicaid), when created they almost never go away. Enough already, take responsibility for yourself, if you want schooling then fight this Orwellian monolithic all consuming government with every last breath or we will all be screwed by it.
Your poll's wording is messed up, check option four.
