Unfair...you are judging based on incomplete facts. If the facts show inappropriate use of the TASER, then he should be booted from the force.

Has the investigation into the incident been completed already, and the officer found to be incorrect in his actions?

Please...withhold judgement until ALL of the facts about this event are reported, disseminated, analyzed, and known.

Never forget that...

First, it's "backscatter"...not "backscanner." Secondly, these are not "illegal" searches. Courts across the nation have held that these are "reasonable" given the circumstances of the current state of terrorism and holy war being waged against the US since before 9/11. Since they have been held "reasonable". they are not in violation of the 4th Amendment. Lastly, however, although they may be legal, whether or not they are effective is another matter.

In my opinion, they are not effective...and we need to go to the Israeli method of behavioral profiling to be more effective against this threat.

Of course, in this politically-correct society, that will never happen, which is unfortunate, because PC will eventually kill us all.
