I read a few years back that the average King County homeowner pays $30/month in property taxes to the King County Library System.

It's still a rough market around here. The house next to me sold for $465,000 in 2008. That owner sold a year later for $425,000. The current owner has tried to sell it for $345,000 but people looking were asking for another $30k discount. (All the owners have been forced to move due to job layoffs, not because there is anything wrong with the house)
