I love this sandbagging strategy of Breitbart, O'Keefe, and Giles. ACORN has been discredited as much by their own lies following the release of each video as they have been by the videos themselves. Brilliant!

As is often the case, the story itself becomes secondary to the actions taken by the parties involved AFTER the story breaks. I wrote the post because I feel the tactic of making a baseless accusation of racism against someone perceived as a political adversary is outrageous. One need not look any further than the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to see how the Left has created a cottage industry with this tactic. In this particular case, if it is proven ALG was not telling the truth, they should be flogged and publicly humiliated by the Right.

Also with due respect, your response to this post perfectly reflects one of the problems conservative Republicans have in communicating.

Abortion is awful and should be debated vigorously in the public forum. However, this is not a post about abortion. Not everything is about abortion. As a self proclaimed "right wing wacko", you have posted a comment that, in the context of this particular post, does indeed sound like it was written by a right wing wacko. As a result, your important message was significantly diminished.

I appreciate your passion, but those on the right need to become far more effective communicators if they are ever going to make progress on the important issues of our time... including abortion.

Respectfully,

How is it possible we cannot agree to basic facts. Aren't we all watching the same video footage? Justice Roberts messed it up because he tried to memorize the oath. Obama caught the error but then repeated it incorrectly anyway. Big stage. Big nerves. They fixed it the following day, just to be safe. Forgot to use a Bible on the second go around which caused a PR problem.

Geez!

Between the debate and interviews like this, Blackwell seems to have leapfrogged his more well-known competitors.

Your propensity to run to Boehner's defense EVERY TIME someone speaks ill of his leadership, damages your credibility. How can you be expected to be taken seriously over the long term if you are incapable of accepting valid criticisms of Boehner's performance? If Republicans don't learn from the lessons of these past few years, we are doomed to wander the wilderness for many decades to come.

You find her cards to be tongue and cheek, and don't think they reflect poorly on an elected position of distinction. We disagree. You think she is a serious representative. I don't. Is my opinion of her holiday card tainted by my disgust for many of her political positions? Probably. Do I impose higher standards on elected officials than I do on my neighbors? Yes. Are my expectations of our elected officials too high? I don't know.

I have not talked with Loretta Sanchez at length. I have listened to her at length.

Again Dan, this post is specifically drawing attention to her habit of sending oddly inappropriate holiday cards as a means of giving readers a glimpse into her personality. It is just a glimpse. It is not intended to articulate an opposing view of her position on cyber security, or any other specific issue.

This is how I look at it...

In the simplest terms, the congresswoman is a dimwit and a poor representative for her community. The holiday cards seem to embody my sentiment.
