Apparently HGTV is loosing their good taste and their fans. I've been reading comments on this site and others and it sounds like very few people thought Antonio was the best designer -- heard he first show wasn't good either. Hope HGTV execs start paying attention to the fans!!! I for one haven't watched since they choose him.

Antonio is not the "real deal" he is not a good designer nor is he appealing to the public. Nothing he has done puts him in the same class as other HGTV designers!!! Why Candice and Genevive like him I have no idea. Who puts laminate in a "Celebrity" room??? I like Dan but his room did not look like it was for a boy. Lonni's room was the best -- if they were allowed to communicate via cellphone she would have known why the carpenters left the headboard in the truck the entire time she was shopping!!!! HGTV I will not be watching Antonio's show is he wins and neither will anyone else that I have talked to!!!!!

I agree!!! Lonni's room was by far the best. Antonio is not a good designer and his personality is abravsive and unappealing!!! He has repeatedly had the biggiest and pushiest demeaner but not the best ideas. It has seemed from the beginning that Candice and Genevieve have liked him the best -- why I don't know. He does not even come close to them or anyone else on HGTV. It makes me wonder what they are thinking!!! If he is the real deal I will not be watching his show and neither will anyone else that I have spoken to!!!! Hope HG reads these blogs!!

As a working Interior Designer it is our job to give the client the best design within their requirements. If the client asks for something they expect to get it --- otherwise they are not going to pay for something they do not want. Although, I liked the room that Antonio worked on it was not warm, he did not work with the team, nor did he give the client what she asked for. I don't know any working designers who can get away with that. The person who pays gets the final say. As far as Antonio's personality goes I would not watch his show. David, I'm suprised that you did not think that browns, carmels and some warm punchy accent colors would not have been more in tune with the clients request. When people are getting things for free they are more likely to be agreeable.
