After Zack & Miri, Kevin Smith has no more slack left. As a filmmaker, he has shown no improvement since clerks. He should have stuck to writing scripts then let other people direct them....NOT the opposite!
This looks AWWWWWESOME!!!!! I totally see Herzog making this...he's in love with completely mad men....KLAUS KINSKI....HELLOOOOOO!!!
Did anyone notice that sabotage was STILL PLAYING after the corvette drove off the cliff?? the music started to faded once the dialogue between young kirk and the cop started.
whatever context anyone puts that corvette scene in relation to the film, it's still a NOKIA COMMERCIAL!! It was sooo Michael Bay-ish and should never have been in the film. That time could have utilized for more starfleet cadet scenes....but instead we quickly get...3 years later! i laughed out loud when i saw that.
she was the only good thing about the movie! i love her! even with her 80s short hair.
The 1988 movie was on cable last night and it was terrible! Nothing wrong with the performances, but why are we supposed to care about a cokehead yuppie whining throughout the entire movie that he's bored with his yuppie job and that his supermodel wife left him spliced together with flashbacks of him living the yuppie dream of excess and self-entitlement. Booooo! lol What a great idea for a remake and to come out during this global economic recession! lol
who cares! how many bad movies does a director have to make in order to stop getting funding? hopefully wan wont be another kevin smith.
I'm happy that Stephen Gaghan is finally doing something. Syriana was one of the smartest political films ever. Still looking forward to his next directing project whatever that may be.
CONGRATS, GUYS! GET READY FOR ALL THAT GROUPIE ASS!! LOL
It's a Terminator movie starring Batman!!.....like it really needs publicity in February! lol If anything, it hurts the movie but not by much. Imagine if this came out in July 2008 during the The Dark Knight opening.....i'd say it would have lost a few million in the box office. Just remember the MI:3 box office after Tom Cruise jumped on Oprah's couch!!
