I just threw up in my mouth a little. That sounds worse they're VooDoo Doughnut maple bacon beer. I'm a beer lover, but this sounds worse than backwash to me.
This horrible article was the final straw for me. I am no longer turning to KATU as a news source.
My 2-year-old is stuck to me like glue at all times... of course, I'm loving, caring and protective. I have to wonder if this woman's child was trying to get away from her. I hope this dear child will end up with better parental units.
I'm thinking the same things... and to boot, he announced his story to the news media, which made his issue subject to the amazingly rude and insensitive remarks that I have read in response to this article on KATU today. I would think that this would add to his depression. I hope he is smart enough to avoid reading the comments.
The same thing happened to my former husband. He was convinced that he was taken advantage of by a babysitter when he was only 5 years old. I didn't buy it, and it was hard to see him so distressed over these "memories." I dug deep into it, and it turns out that he had been manipulated into turning a memory of the babysitter helping him take a normal bath into a psychologically damaging memory of an inappropriate sexual encounter. So not cool.

I am so sick and tired of all of this new age hippy CRAP. Between this issue, the HCG diet, and other fads that are actually quite unhealthy and harmful, I am simply amazed at how incredibly stupid people can be. And don't even get me started on extreme religion. Yes, freedom of choice, but that should NOT include actions that are so harmful to yourself and others.
I agree with the majority of posters that it is incredibly selfish and ignorant to not vaccinate your children. There is no solid evidence that vaccines are harmful, and all the "evidence" has been debunked. It seems to be a "no, you can't make me!" attitude that these parents have, which is incredibly childish and is NOT in the best interest of your children. I'm all for freedom of choice, but we're talking about increased cases of terrible diseases here, and putting my vaccinated child at risk for being around unvaccinated children who become sick. It actually really angers me. Vaccinations absolutely should be a requirement. We're required to renew our drivers licenses and vehicle registration every few years, going through inconvienient hoops and paying hefty fees for those. Why don't these ignorant and gullible parents whine about that instead and do the right thing for their child AND all the people that they come in contact with?
I like it! But... in small quantities and not in a moving vehicle. There's a lot to be said about drinking responsibly.
