Roger, I have to ask...what is it with you and the top of the Washington Monument? This is not the first time you've mentioned it. What hold does it have over you? Did you loose your virginity up there or something? It seems obvious that SOME kind of seminal event occurred in your life that deals with that particular piece of real estate. What, exactly, is it? Inquiring minds want to know.

And so, let me ask you...why won't you let Muslims (or Jews, or anybody else) have THEIR religion? Who are you to dictate what name they should call their God?

Who is making anything up? Just because you don't want to believe something - like the fact that our government went on record back in 1797 that it wasn't founded on the Christian religion - doesn't mean that it's made up. What it means is that you'd better go back to school and get you s,more learning...

Yes, I know all about the words that our founders had inscribed on various things. So what?

Look, let's bottom line this thing. A lot of our founders were Christians ...some were non-believers and and a lot were deists....again, so what? This country was founded so people could worship as they pleased and build their churches where they pleased (hello, New York?). Why can't you get this? It's about freedom....leave those not like you alone.

But, for the record, BHO is very much like you (as far as religion is concerned). Peace.

Irish Kay...regarding your statement: "even third graders 'know' the Preamble" ...if they DO know it, they know the part you're talking about isn't in there. It's actually AFTER the preamble and in the first sentence.

A man who struggled through a difficult upbringing...who had a black father and a white mother ...and who stayed connected to his family through difficult times...and who worked hard to obtain a quality education and became wildly successful - in short, to become the very embodiment of our American Dream - hates America, you say?
