Part of Health Care Reform should have been dedicated to addressing these issues. There should also be an international market for drugs, so market forces can lead to lower prices.

I don't get why genes can be patented. I get their use for research, but the innovation that takes place should be patented, not the research subject.

Given their age, their technical incompetence should not be a surprise. Patents for technology will become obsolete shortly, as by the time the patent is actually awarded, the technology will be obsolete. After all technology improves exponentially.

I find it ironic that a company called OpenMarket is patenting so much stuff. Also, it's not like these are original ideas, they are old ideas that are being used in a new medium.

This is fantastic! Someone ought to elect these people to congress. I like the "Abolish Software, Business Method and Gene Patents" the best. It's rational, and the description explains why the patents for these are unnecessary.

There needs to be some type of reforms so patents are actually read, and the stupid ones arent awarded. People simply take advantage of the system.

This is a generic term, and this is simply an example of the big guys picking on the little guys. More dsicretion needs to be used when rewarding trademarks.

superhero is definitely generic. It even appears in my dashboard dictionary. There needs to be an effort to monitor these terms so trademarks can expire as terms become generic.
