It's got to be interoperable with SMTP/POP clients, right? Otherwise it'll never work. It'd be crazy if you could only send Waves to people who were using Wave. I presume when you send a Wave to someone who isn't using it, it acts like a normal email.

Can you elaborate on your 1st point? I'd like to know more about the accessibility of GWT generated code?

Also, regarding your point #3, you don't have to use Wave "in the cloud". You can host it on your own servers. Yay!

I think you're right about your second point. Wave will need to be interoperable with POP/SMTP email otherwise Wave is going to be a closed garden that only works with other Wave addresses - that will kill it immediately.
