hi there! I need a quick answer here.. very simple..
i've a jailbroken iphone 4s on 5.0.1 9A405 and I want to restore it to 5.0.1 9A406.. but I keep getting error 1600 in itunes.. since redsn0w doesn't have the pwned dfu for iphone 4s, I don't know how can I bypass this error.. anyone can help?

i'm afraid you are not alone, but we're all in the same boat for the moment.. too many users are jailbreaking and using those servers, we'll have to wait a few days..

in redsn0w you have to go extras, select ispw 5.0.1 then use the jailbreak button! it has to work! just let me know! :)

I had the same problem till now, but I found the solution somehow.. now all you have to do is to run redsn0w, go to extras then select ispw, after that just hit jailbreak! :)

use redsn0w to get into pwned dfu, and u should see no 1600 after that..

i've an iphone 3gs jailbroken on 3.1.3 modem 05.12.01.. when I try to restore using recovery mode or normal mode itunes says "Preparing iphone for restore" and in the end giving me some sort of 1604 error... tried to change the hosts file to 74.208.10.249 gs.appleDOTcom and no luck.. any suggestions? thanks in advance!

I have just finished, everything work out great, I used the iclarified tutorials, but there is one hint u need to know, in case you r gettin the 1600 itunes error, the try restoring without puttin the iphone into DFU, just restore in normal mode, this is the way it worked for me..

my 3GS is on 3.1.2:
serial: ***39******
model: MC131NF
modem: 05.11.07

I used blackra1n to JB+UL about 5-6 months ago, now can I have it JB+UL on 4.0 or I have to wait?
I suppose it's the new bootrom, but not sure.. thanks in advance!!
