This is a good idea for people with no technical background, but the cost of entry is rather high. The money could probably be better spent on creating interesting content or learning SEO or blog promotion. Wordpress is rightly popular for it's famous 5-minute install, and even without benefits offered by this service, installing a Wordpress blog isn't very difficult at all. If you're serious about blogging, it's probably better to work with the blogging platform a bit, with a healthy sense of curiosity.

Liz Cheney, Bill Kristol and the rest of the Fox News flacks really ought to read the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which they claim to cherish so very much when arguing in favor of teaching Creationism to children in public schools. The First Amendment provides:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

What could be more un-American than advocating that Muslims cannot worship two blocks from Ground Zero? If anything, building the community center would dramatically demonstrate the tolerance and diversity of American society, a stark contrast to the fanaticism and intolerance of the 9/11 terrorists. Freedom of ideas means freedom for the ideas you hate, not just the ideas that you love. Unless conservatives are prepared to have the First Amendment modified to exclude Islam, we as a society have to tolerate the community center, or else abandon some very fundamental American values.

Thanks for the comment. On Friday, the federal judge in the lawsuit denied Coke's motion to throw out the case. http://www.cspinet.org/new/201007231.html. The Center for Science in the Public Interest sued Coke over what it says are deceptive and unsubstantiated claims made for Coke's “vitaminwater” line of soft drinks. I'm guessing that a few Coke executives are reaching for something stronger than water. Vodka, maybe?

Any rational person, believer or not, ought to be appalled by this senseless murder in the name of God. According to Randall Terry, Dr. Tiller "was a mass murderer and, horrifically, he reaped what he sowed." Actually, Terry’s movement is reaping what it sowed. It’s no wonder that Terry’s movement is, in his own words, becoming "steadily politically irrelevant." By refusing to condemn vigilante action, leaders like him tacitly encourage it. How about giving a statement reminding his followers that God commands "thou shall not kill" or even quoting Matthew 26:52: "Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword."
