good catch - I would ponder that someone does her scheduling for her & she hadn't looked at the name before he came in.

seems to me that he was driving away, maybe to get help with his stab wounds or to escape further harm? I wouldn't make the leap that either was intoxicated or he was running for other reasons. I would also think that maybe he was trying to make it to a nearby home when he got out of his car. When people are injured, especially as seriously as he was, they often go in to panic mode and a flight or fight response. I'm sure he was desperate to get help for is injury at that point.

agreed! This is a guy from my cousins platoon & my husbands old company. It has affected so many people. Unfortunately it is one of many we have had to endure over the years. Prayers to his wife & child.

my first thought was "glad they found him - alive"! I would just like to add he also looks really good for 55! Glad it was a swift rescue and he is safe. Trnasponders, GPS & buddy system are key components to being "safe" in the wilderness here.

My husband had the same problem. I will say contacting his home of record congress woman helped - it was fixed with in a few months.

agree whole heartedly! Having been a spouse to an Army soldier, I saw first hand how those in authority at various levels dismissed illnesses injuries and psychological issues and just wanted people to push on. It does happen and then on top of it VA is so piece meal with their treatment of those who need it.
