I still say forcing a motorcycle off the road was a poor decision by the police. There had to have been other options. Block him in until he slows down seems like a reasonable option. Why indanger their lives? Just doesn't seem like the police who are trained to drive and handle these situations did not come up with a very smart solution.
Was he fleeing? Watch the video and you see the police car video is behind, the other police ahead on the same side as the police car, and the biker. The biker moves over , that may not have been fleeing, but just moving over, and the front police car then puts on his lights and moves quickly in front of the biker to cut him off. Perhaps he hit the biker, or at least left the biker no options since the police pulled in front of him so quickly. I'm usually on the side of the police, but this was just too irresponsible on their part, being careless with lifes.
Whether this young man was trying to flee is one thing. Running someone off the road for "faulty equipement is another. There was a passenger on the back that was not even taken into consideration. Unless someone has committed murder, I do not see it in good judgement to have run this biker off the road, which if you watch the video closely that is pretty much what happened. Way too agressive for "faulty equipment". I think the police handled it poorly.
