For those that live in neighborhoods that the jurisdiction isn't doing anything about, contact news station like KATU and get your story out there. Not only will they investigate, it should embarass the responsible parties into doing something rather than sitting on their lazy you-know-whats...
Nothing stings more than contacting the news media. Contact KATU or any station willing to do a story. Have your documentation ready before calling.This should push the jurisdictions responsible into doing something.
The problem with that is when the neighborhood was pristine to begin with and then it goes downhill because of the economy, others move in to think they can make a quick buck by renting out and not maintaining.Those coupled with lazy people who no longer want to maintain but want their "new toys" make it hard to get out.Your comments are truly stupid., Think before you write next time..People do not move into trailer trash neighborhoods because they want to..they were once nice neighborhoods that have gone south.
These situations are happening more and more..People are letting yards and homes go but still continuing to buy their new "toys" like new cars/plasma tv's and such. Too bad their priorities are skewed.Jurisdictions need to firm up their policies and enforce them sooner.It's getting out of hand, esp in the Portland/Gresham area.People are living like trailer trash and those trying to get out can't get their homes sold due to these unintelligent, lazy people.
