This guy must be a Dimocrat. Does this mean that he should Marry the Horse and then this misunderstanding will go away? He could then go on a Speaking Tour at Elementary Schools and explain that Horse/ Man Love is really normal and that he was just made that way. I would think that the Horse would have hurt him, but maybe he is use to being Mounted by Amimals. I also doubt it was safe Sex as I don't think they make Horse Condoms. Eric, We seem to forget lately that in a life/Death situation time is all important. Also hemming and hawing is taken as a sign of weakness and bolsters the hostage takers sense of power! We deligate authority to our Naval Capt's and hopefully they can think on their feet. Obama gave the go ahead twice, and said "act if the Capt's life is in Danger", Really!!.But, only after4-5days! Is that desisive or not. Maybe twice as desisive? In any case he put it at the Navy's feet finally, and finally let them do their job.

If Iran or N. Korea fires a Nuc at us Do you think we should take 4-5days to think about what to do, or wait for the next UN Meeting? I havebeen involved in Life/Death situations, and thank God wasn'theld back ormicromanaged in doing my duties.The Hostage knew what needed to be done, and that's why he put himself in more dangerjumping from the Lifeboat at least once, maybe twice (but that's not clear as the story changes.

The situation was finally resolved by the Navy, but with no help from Obama!

It only took four days for Obama to act. No doubt after he saw the outrage, and PR damage..
The Navy should have been allowed to do their job as soon as confronting the Pirates. Micromanaging only restricts those that have a job to perform. Obama can't do anything right much less run a Seal operation!

Pirates have gotten away with taking Ships because because they are allowed to bluff, and threaten. They only understand force, and death. That is the currency they use. If they are treated the same they will have second thoughts. Glad the so called Somali elder/wheeler dealer was taken into custody. He is part of the Prirate operations and acting in their interest. No quarter, No negotiations, no "Political Correctness" should be used on these scum of the Earth. Thank You US Navy!
