I have nothing bad to say against this particular Vet, since I haven't ever been there or know any of the vet's, but in general (price wise) this is why I shopped small town clinics before I went anywhere. I live in Cedar Rapids and drive to Center Point to the vet there. For the price it would cost me to get just yearly shots for my 2 dogs in CR, I could drive back and forth 20 times and pay for the shots in Center Point. Also, not just because of the much much smaller prices, the staff there is excellent.
That is exactly right, very well stated. High school students have it beaten into their brains that they NEED to go to college when a vast majority have no idea what they want to do or the real life implications of the extremely uninformed decisions they make their senior year. The first high school guidance counselor to suggest anything other than college would probably be fired on the spot.
Soon its going to be more beneficial to NOT go to college and compile 10's of thousands of $ in student loan debt rather just get a semi-decent job out of high school and work your way up and have no student loan debt. You may make less on paper, but you can make good use of the hundreds of $ your not spending monthly in student loan payments for 20 years - that tipping point is coming quickly
