Hi John- I didn't mean to suggest that their music needed any changes at all. I like it just the way that it is. I had mentioned to various people over the past few months (while anxiously awaiting this release) that I hoped that their new songs would capture the energy that their live performances have. Most people don't ever get to see newer bands like Lemolo live and it's a (very appealing) aspect of their music that I felt didn't always come across in their recordings.

I was at the line-up announcement party. Great lineup, but there were a couple of bands that I had heard were going to be there that I was really hoping to see... My Goodness & the Young Evils... Damien Jurado... that didn't make the bill. I was kind of bummed about that, but as I said, it's a great lineup. The guys behind the booking, Artist Home, always seem to find some of those bands that totally catch me off guard & I love that! There's a couple of bands on that lineup that are going to blow the crowd away... Land of Pines, Radiation City, Pretty Broken Things to name a few.
Hey Karen- No I didn't. They were flanked by Wild Flag & The Walkmen on the upper stage. I'd never seen either of those bands live & I've probably seen THATH close to a dozen times over the past couple of years around town. Great band though & an outstanding album.
Yup. Pleasant surprise. I knew it was there, but I didn't know about that back gate onto the property. They were totally cool about the concert crowd coming in, by the way... it's the only business they get that weekend!
Long story, but I watched part of his show from the nosebleed section. The sound sucks up there * it was getting lat so I took off after two songs.
A lot of people missed those shows, Natalie, including me. We sat in traffic for more than an hour after getting off the interstate. Got there just in time to catch Pretty Lights, but really wanted to see Girl Talk more.
I was there, Ashley... you should send me an email when you go to these things, we had an extra ticket!
Thanks for that laugh, James... I take it you saw the online tizzyfit over the ticket sales? I have to buy tickets weeks ahead of the general release date every year or I wouldn't be able to get in!
