Wow. Now here is a priority. Well the state may stop the funding if these schools don't comply, that is IF they are still around in 5 years. What has this 'funding' garnered these schools? Seems to me, the school year gets shorter and shorter and schools are in danger of closing PERIOD! This state has lost me I'm afraid.

Listen, we can do this 'back and forth' all day. YES, there is a school on Oak that allows the 'selling within a 1000 ft of a school' to apply. Again just a little research and you would be amazed. Again with regard to the downtown exclusion zone, there are many reasons that imo it's warranted. You may not agree and that is fine. I’m not calling you a liar or anything of the sort, but I find it hard to believe that your 3 yo would be harassed for merely stopping to tie his/her shoes. Ok....I'm done. Peace.
Parks and schools ARE downtown. Where have you been? Now if you’re asking why the downtown exclusion law isn't applied elsewhere I guess my answer would be that it wouldn't be a 'DOWNTOWN' exclusion. The whole point is to apply the law where the offenders ARE.......thus downtown. :)
