I have a windows computer and a mac right in front of me. How exactly do I create a custom 3.1 ipsw using pwnagetool? Perhaps I need to first download a 3.1ipsw from somewhere online, and then open the program? It seems to want a 3.1 ipsw before it is willing to do anything.

And about saving files with cydia, I think I just requested to be added, it gave me that option the first time when I opened it. Is there anything else I need to do to save these files?

Okay I just got it jailbroken with Redsnow. So I am still running 3.0. How do I upgrade now to 3.1, can you please explain that part? Thanks sooo much!

I have a 3gs that was purchased in July and have not updated ANYTHING since purchase. So, I'm still running 3.0. Can you guys please tell me what I am able to do at this point? I am just a bit confused whether I can jailbreak anymore or not. I feel like I missed the boat.

I got a 3gs in July and have not updated ANYTHING with itunes since purchase. I really want to jailbreak and unlock. Can you guys please tell me what I am able to do at this point? Version: 3.0 (7A341) and Modem Firmware 04.26.08.
