I am so glad Lonni got sent home. She never completes her designs and all her designs are centered around a wall with repeating details. I love Dan! All he needs is some coaching on his hosting skills. So what if he giggles or is "stiff" - he is so enthusiastic and always smiles. Then there's Antonio. I have grown to like him. He is the stereotypical New Yorker/Soprano, but we have been allowed to see a softer, more fun side of Antonio. He just needs to "clean up" his personal appearance
You took the words right out of my mouth. I agree with you 100%
OK, I know no one particulary cares for Antonio and his overbearing personality, but come on everybody, without Antonio the designs would never have been completed. Antonio's strength is in the execution. I don't understand why the producers are having so many team challenges. We haven't really seen what the designers are capable of if they were given the right budget, a carpenter, and enough time to design. That is why Antonio is always front and center - he has the skills and the take charge personality to get things done - but what about his design abilities?
Well, it seems that the majority was right in their prediction that Tori would be going home. I liked her personality more than Lonni's, but I must agree she was the one who needed to go. She volunterred to be the team captain, thinking her strengths lie in exterior designs. She never did take charge - she immediately let Antonio take over. Well Tori, sorry but someone had to be responsible for the budget and the design and you volunteered............ My question to Tori: "Why?" You know that the team captain is always on the chopping block, why would you want that responsibility?
Now, finally Jason is gone! I find it very curious that last week Jason made the comment that the challenge would separate the decorators from the designers. He seemed so confident. Well, Jason, you were right, the decorator was sent home. In each challenge, all Jason ever did was decorate. He didn't get it right in the first challenge, the kitchen challenge, the white room challenge, and definately not in the child's room challenge. The placemats hung with thumb tacks as a headboard? HELLO!!!!!!!!! Jason that is not design. Well, tonight's challenge should be very interesting, I can hardly wait
I know David thought Lonnie was the best designer this past week, but I'm sorry, in my opinion Lonnie's personality could use a spark of fun. She is always so serious and her designs just haven't wowed me.
Well, only 2 1/2 hrs left until episode 7. I really hope the judges don't send Dan home. Yes, he made a mistake in judgement, but his designs overall this season have been great. I must admit though, I'm beginning to think Antonio might just be the one to win. He wowed me with his bedroom design and how he interacted with his client. His hosting skills were great. He appeared to be genuine and caring. He was so excited to see his client's reaction. I really liked what I saw.
Only 20 minutes until show time!!! I really hope it is Lonni or Jason who go home. I don't much care for their personalities or their design styles.
You are so on it -100% David as a judge? YES! I always look forward to his comments about the episodes and the designers. Does Lonnie remind you of Martha Stewart - her real behind the scenes persona? Maybe it just me......Only 28 minutes left!!!!!
In response to Jeffers post, I am in complete agreement with your statement. It is my understanding that this week is also a double elimination. Yes, Jason and Lonnie are the weakest links and should be eliminated ahead of the other four designers. Dan does appear to be the best designer. I also believe that Nathan is a close second. Nathan "wowed" me with his version of the White Wall Challenge. I just don't think the producers have given us the opportunity to really see them in action - (the result of editing). I can hardly wait to see what happens tonight :-)
