"The Distortion of Truth," indeed! Excellent points! Few in the mainstream, with the exception of Mr. Ratigan and his guests, speak the truth, be it those at the Federal Reserve, commercial banks, politicians or press when it comes to the fraud that is the banking system. A startling revelation when you take the time to actually grasp what it implies, this conspiracy of distortion. Is it really so, that no one in the entire mainstream media can understand the finer points of our fiat, fractional reserve banking system? I doubt it. However, that is what the Fed would have us all believe.
"We run the risk, by laying out the pros and cons of a particular argument, of inducing people to join in on the debate, and in this regard it is possible to lose control of a process that only we fully understand." - Alan Greenspan
Does the Fed practice economical science or do they instead participate in some arcane alchemical art of capital creation? The media, in complete awe of the Fed, has been complicit over the years in this charade, particularly during the Greenspan era, by furthering this air of mysticism around the bank and chairman.
What the Fed does, its policies and dealings (foreign and domestic) as well as its stockholders, needs to be made public. The days of secrecy and distorted truths must end now. We must force Congress to assert its constitutional authority to audit the Fed, Fort Knox and thereafter abolish the Fed and return the duties prescribed in the Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, "To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof ," to the Congress, to the people. Simple as that.

the destructive marriage you speak of is fascism, is it not? we need to drop the left, right or center agendas and/or labels as we just cannot afford that luxury any longer and recognize the issue at hand is basic survival. from that perspective, the more important things unify us rather than divide us.
the corporations which influence our elected public servants careless about partisan issues and care completely about one thing, profit. that being the case, they play all sides and manipulate all sides to that aim. you cannot deny that president obama is not only continuing the oligarchic policies of his predecessor, president bush, but furthering them in all realms none so obvious as foreign adventure and finance.
the world, especially the middle east, is putting aside ancient sectarian divisions in favor of the greater good and goal, which is freedom. as much as corporations are driven by profit, we need to be equally driven by a similar unifying issue. how about freedom?
