Hi airbrakes. Yes, the branding is certainly something I've
considered. In all honesty, I believe it's the .co.uk domain that is
causing the most "issues". It's okay if you're something like the BBC,
but there seems to be a general consensus that .co.uk or other country
specific domains are related specifically to that country, whilst
.com's are considered more global. Allas, flightsimx.com has already
been taken, but the domain I'm looking at I think would also assert
the fact that it's primarily a news site.

Thanks for everyone's comments - they are all appreciated.

That's true, although I do get a number of emails along the lines of
"Nice site, shame it concentrates on FSX". There's also the .co.uk
issue - tends to imply UK only, even though we're aimed at a worldwide
audience.

This might seem like a silly question, but you don't already have SP2 installed do you?

I don't know the author personally, but I suspect it's a branding thing, i.e. people probably know him by that name. If it appeared under another brand, people may be more reluctant to try it.

I assume he's aware of the issue, hence the new domain.
