Nothing new about this.
Progressives have been paying off those in academia who support their opinion for years
through scholarships and grants. That is why "public edumacation" has gone to he--.
I asked my son why he was dropping out of college. "Because, daddy, it was all bullchit:"
He started his own business and is doing quite well. There IS hope for America!

Haley, Bachman, Palin. We Tea Partiers will soon have enough hot women to make our own calendar.
Liberals hate them because their women are mostly flat-chested old crones. OK, that was sexist, sorry.

I was just kidding. But, it will be nice to one day have people in government that are more focused
on the size of the deficit than the size of a woman's chest.

Theses day to day numbers are worthless without discounting known previous "trends"
Yes, employment rises in early summer as summer jobs come on line.
Yes, retail sales increase in August as students head back to school.
Yes, unemployment increases in February as weather affects outside work.

The REAL question nobody wants to address is this:

"What percentage of Americans are STILL EMPLOYED in a decent-paying,
full-time, non-government, private sector job with health care and benefits?"

My guess would be less than 25 percent. And, THAT is what is wrong with the economy.

It's time to look at the Palestinian/Israeli situation from a different perspective - the race riots in America in the 60's. A Palestinian state makes no more sense than a proposal back then to give Blacks their own state. Religions aside, the main conflict in Gaza is about the perceived DISPARITY of the freedoms and the living conditions of the Palestinians in contrast to the Jews. What is the difference between a "border pass" and a star on your shirt?

That was the same situation that caused Martin Luther King to march and fiery riots to erupt in Watts and Chicago. Contrast the lifestyle of life in "the settlements" to the bombed out, garbage strewn streets of Gaza. It the same as the Black ghetto versus white surburbia in the 60's.

America's answer lay NOT in fences or a separate state but in "integration" and equal rights and opportunity. Society is not ideal and there is still "prejudice". But, Blacks and whites now more or less co-exist in peace.

A man with a family, a home with a TV ..... and HOPE rarely straps a bomb to his chest.

I think crime has a lot to do with the perceived "mood" of society.

People are in a "protective" mood when times are bad. Gun sales are up - crime rates are down. There IS a corollary.
It's hard to look at a Tea Party gathering and not think, "Man, them people are serious. Better cheese it."

Illegal immigration is down too. And, the Arizona law hasn't even taken affect yet.
Why? Because, immigrants perceive the "mood of society" as one that makes it not so easy anymore.

My dad was only five-four. But, as a teenager, I could read his "moods" and KNEW better than to cross him.
VOTERS are in a bad mood. Liberal politicians seem to lack the wisdom of a teenager. Time to bring out the belt.

"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions'

Don't know who said that first but , as I remember, it was my eight grade teacher Ms. Jones. It especially applies to liberals whose "good intentions" are always at the expense of somebody ELSE's money, freedom or security.

The president plans to pay for the oil spill with BP's "money" although government regulators share the blame.
"Obamacare" comes at the expense of "freedom" to make our own health care decisions.
Illegal immigration threatens everybody else's "security".

I could go on with more examples, but suffice it to say, "We are on the road to Hell."

Isn't it a sin to use The Lord's name "in vain"?
I love it when liberal politicians turn to religion ONLY when they are losing. I doubt He is listening.

Whatever happened to presidents that rode horses and Humvees
