They were showing them at lunch. A few of the cows just came right along. There was one stubborn one that was not cooperating with the cowboy. Not that I blame him after what he's been through today. Hope they get the rest ok.
Geez, were you there? Sounds like you have a beef against someone. Let's see, he calls for routine backup. The situation becomes increasingly elevated so he has his hand up to his radio- requesting urgent assistance. Suddenly someone comes at you with a butcher knife, you grab the first thing that the free hand comes to. Suicidal situations are difficult to handle. One minute things can seem fine and suddenly change. We always wish for a better outcome, they don't always happen that way. Our hearts go out to the Department and the family during this difficult time.
You are exactly right, The only reason North's enrollment has gone down, is to keep Salisbury's up. Don't blame the school. North had a growing enrollment, just a short while ago. My child was in one of the largest Freshmen classes at the High School. They had to increase the number of lunch periods because of overcrowding and not having time to eat. They had classes in the library and wrestling room. So what did they do, they added onto the school and then took away the kids (kinda quietly, if I say so). MAKES ALOT OF SENSE DOESN'T IT!!
Hey, don't agree with me. Although, I am a animal lover, I am one with a little common sense. Every animal that I have every owned has been a stray. With that said, I think you are either nuts or a past employee of the facility. You appear out for revenge. Anyway, try as you may, you cannot save them all. There are just too many. For every person that takes one from you, means they are not going to get one another way. You have yet to state any type of solution or sensible alternative.
Do I think most people care that innocent annimals are being killed. YES! Do I think people are knocking at the doors of the Animal Control requesting animals? NO! Do I think we can afford to run a no-kill facility? NO! I hear so many complaints about the Animal Control System, but no solutions. In a perfect world, there would be no overabundance of animals. But, I'm afraid this is not a perfect world. With limited budgets, I feel the Animal Control System is doing correctly. These animals, as sad as I am about it, are not going to survive. Only a few will be adopted. Why? Because there are too many animals and not enough wanting them, especially in these times. If their death (which is going to occur regardless) can mean at least a little good comes out of it, I am for it. I have more 5 animals myself and feel like I don't give them enough attention, so I am not going to get anymore. You can only do so much.
Would be a wonderful idea, if it were not for transportation. Too many kids ride buses now and you would have a nightmare with duplicate routes, etc. not to mention the additional costs, especially with fuel on the rise again. There was an idea of turning North into a specialized school, don't know what happened to that idea. I understand some of the complaints about schools. The school that I went to, always look down on the other schools (they were rivals afterall and we were the best). Looking back, there really wasn't much difference. I work along side equals who attended those schools and they turned out ok (well at least most of them).
The exact reason why they should follow the guidelines recommended by the study, where this will not occur again and again. They keep making these little bandaid changes which cause this issue to reappear every couple of years. Make one big change and get it done with. Quit wasting time and money getting studies that are basicly the same and then doing little or nothing.
The "taxpayers" are the ones that should be complaining. We continue to pay for these redistricting studies to take the politics and bias out of the equation then the studies are ignored. What a waste if it is ignored again.
It seems like you guys have the same objective - clean up your neighborhood. You need to work together to improve your area. It can be done and a pride seems to come along with it. I have seen it. Work with the police, churches and the decent neighbors (there are more out there than you think), not against them and against each other. All of you sound like potential leaders. Instead of making excuses for cime - stamp it out.
There is no target here other than illegal crime and it shows up in all neighborhoods. Any neighbor, of any color, race or religion is going to get turned in if they sell drugs or any other illegal activity in our neighborhoods. We are all working to keep our neighborhoods clean for our families and yours, if you participate. That is all that matters in this story. Way to go neighbors, keep calling. The only way to stop this nonsense is to look out for each other. If you had looked at the paper in recent weeks, there have been faces of all colors/ages/sXX arrested and many more to come!
