My favorite of the series is Use Case 31: Whatcha got cookin'? In large part because using the iPad as a kitchen computer was my immediate thought upon seeing it. I use my iPhone in the kitchen now, but it's difficult due to the size. The iPad will be a great recipe book and measurement converter, all-in-one.

An additional use case for me will be "Goodbye Kindle!" I do like the Kindle, and the e-ink is easier to read during the day. But I do most of my reading at night, once my husband is asleep. I can't use the Kindle for that and wind up using the Kindle app on my iPhone instead. The iPad will be much better.

I'd be mostly happy with clever app-switching. I would like some loosening of background restrictions for other music apps and sports apps that allow you to listen to games (e.g., MLB At Bat). Aside from those, I wouldn't want too much running in the background. Too much of a drain. Even when I was jailbroken, I rarely had apps running in the background other than when listening to music/sports games.

Actually, one of the things I miss most about being jailbroken was the ability via mQuickDo to quit the default apps that run in the background (like Safari). Saved on battery drain.

I'm pre-ordering it, because the lines at any Apple store (or any store selling the iPad) in NYC are bound to be too hideous to contemplate. If I get stiffed and have to wait a few days, it's a small price to pay for not having to deal with teeming masses of humanity who've been up all night.

Not as much as I could. I still hang on to apps I rarely use. But I do go through periodic prunings.

With 120 apps, I weigh in at bantamweight.

BTW, forgot to ask in first comment. Any chance you'll include the ability to sync puzzles across iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad for users who have user accounts? Because that would be huge.

I use the Crosswords app on the iPhone, which has a lot of different providers and even allows premium subscriptions to puzzles like the New York Times. It has as good an interface, IMO, as you'll get on a screen the size of an iPhone. it's the only way I do crossword puzzles these days. I'd love to see an iPad-enhanced version of it.
