The title is deceptive -- only the media calls this vascular treatment a cure.

If you have MS, you know the drugs can slow progression, but they cannot stop it. They can relieve some symptoms, but not all. And they bring with them serious side effects.

This treatment is safe, less costly than one month of prescription drugs, and effective. The major symptoms that have responded extremely well in people treated -- fatigue, brain fog, balance, bladder, spasms -- are ones the drugs simply do not control well enough (for me) at all.

Even if this treatment lasts only six months, or six years, I want it. I take more risks every day taking my MS drugs -- let me make the choice to take a smaller risk to bring immediate relief to some of my most debilitating symptoms.

As a Canadian, I welcomed the change in US government and its move to a more global perspective. I realize issues remain that separate our points of view.

Canada has a solid banking system with no foreclosure problem, a healthcare system that pays private doctors to directly treat us (no government in the middle!!), an enviable position of respect worldwide (why do so many US backpackers put Canadian flags on their packs when they travel?), and a lovely, safe country. I read through these comments and it's clear there is much hatred and misinformation being expressed as a response to this story.

For those of you who welcome us as your neighbours, thank you. To the rest of you, grow up.
