Still going on. Was hacked last week. 35 gamer pts added. 10,000 microsoft points stolen/charged. Kudos to Microsoft though. They had me squared away and creditted the next evening. The two main issue I have is that 1) If this has still been going on, (which it has) they need to seal the leak. Apparently, the ability to port your downloads to other systems is a perfect scenario for hackers/theft. And 2) Now I have a canceled credit card and now must figure out what bills I have been autopaying things with.
My pair from PI finally bit the dust after 22 years. They were the best back up pair one could ever hope for. Of course I would not be caught dead with them on out in the fleet. Funny thing though, they came back into style with Mad Men. Guess we Marines were ahead of the curve on this one.
Sorry, I have to disagree. I, too, am a Corps vet. Back from the Gulf 1. Was what they did against the CMJ? Yes. Should they be punished for their actions? Yes, per the law. But, in my personal opinion, my devil dogs did only two things wrong. 1) They wasted good urine on scum and 2) they were stupid in having it recorded. Stupidity is the MOS for cannon fodder. They were just plain dumb. I would 98% have done the same thing without thinking twice about it.

Sorry, agree you pretty much everything except "Sucker Punch". THAT was a great movie. Played like a video game (which was the point) and succeeded so well that my wife was hoping that they had made one based on the movie so she could play it. I can't rate it bad a movie that has hot chicks kicking a$$ and actually wanting my wife to play the 360.
Spent 8 years in my beloved Corps. Desert Shield/Storm vet. The reason for the MIA/POW is for our brother's in arms to never forget comrades that are missing/captured. A reminder that if you are ever a POW or MIA, that you will never be forgotten. As for the KIA braclets...I can understand parents and relatives wearing them, but I'm not so sure with the Marines wearing them. My way of remembering those that gave their life for their country would be to carry out the mission to the fullest of my ability. But I guess I am an old salt and not intune with the younger generation. 'Fraid I have to agree with the Corps on this one.
THIS is how it should be across the US!!! AMEN! Use the electoral college at it should be used. This "winner take all" should be eliminated. Also, this can give rise to a third party which is desperately needed in this country.
Sy-Fy channel ain't the only one. To me, the worst violator is AMC. They can take a movie that lasts 1hr and 25 minutes and make it 2 1/2 hours long. I kid you not. The Family channel is not far behind either. When they do their HP marathons, I can watch TWO HP movies on Blu-Ray before they even finish with one. Sucks to no end.
Won't be buying the blu-ray upgrade for Star Wars. (I am one of many that still call "A New Hope" Star Wars). I got burned by HP's ultimate releases recently. Bought 1-4. Found out after the fact 3 and 4 did not have ANY extended scenes. Reason given was that the directors were too busy to cut it. Somehow, though, the Family Channel airs 3 & 4 with extended scenes. Needless to say, 5-7 are a no go, as is this remake garbage. A silent Vader in Jedi was powerful. Still think it stunk putting that whiney Annikan at the end of Jedi. The ONLY good adjustment he made in the original trilogy was changing that damn Ewok song at the end of Jedi. I guess a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while.
Han shot first. Deal with it.
As a teen during MTV's best days (when they played music videos), I enjoyed the Metropolis remake. The rock score was the only reason I had even considered to watch it in the first place. I even bought the ALBUM. So, a blu-ray version I would enjoy.
The Devil Dog forgot one. "Marine! The Life of Chesty Puller" by Burke Davis. From my understanding, this was written from tales and stories from Puller himself. Now, there are more 'accurate' biographies out there which I have read, but this one by far was the most entertaining. Semper Fi.
Good night, Chesty. Wherever you are.
