Thank you Michael, another great find. And I agree with your statement that I wish I could have had the kind of insight you mention from Dick's book early in my career. Unfortunately for me I allowed the inner elephant to make some critical mistakes. Today I am working to share this kind of insight with as many young men as possible. Learn to lead yourself before you ever consider leading anyone else. Thanks for the opportunity to possibly receive a book.

I was in a restaurant last night using my iPad when the guy at the next table asked if it was "that new Apple thingy". He then asked me what I used it for. I did not have a great answer until now, thanks to you. Now I can say, "I consume media with it". What I did end up telling him was that I did not do anything with it that I could not do with the other devices I own (Laptop, Kindle 2, iPhone, etc.). But hey, it's cool and people in restaurants stop me to ask about my cool stuff. That has to be worth something!

Thank you Michael. What a great interview. I am convicted that my view of making a difference is a lot smaller than it should/could be. I would love a copy of the book to help expand my thinking about what it means to make a difference and how specifically I can do it. Because of your interview I plan to do some research into World Vision and how I can participate in that good work. Thank you!

At 50 years old I thought I would be at a different place when it came to my work. I know it is a different game than it was when I came out of college, but I can't seem to find the answer to how I can make work rewarding and fun again. Your review and abbreviated list gave me hope that there is that possibility. Thank you for the chance to get a copy of the book.

Great post. Thanks for sharing about Coach Wooden and the many, many lessons he taught on leadership and living. I was positively affected by coach Wooden and I never met him. That to me is the power of a life well lived. His legacy will reach out to generations. What a great example. I share my story of what the coach taught me, and I hope will teach others at www.perryholley.com.

Great post Michael. I just wrote about change earlier this week on my blog (www.perryholley.com) after having several people that I am close with experience anxiety and concern over the current changes they were going through. I liked your comparison to the downhill ski adventure you experienced. It actually reminded me of some of the same words my colleague were using about their situations. I think I will add your great points to my five ways to embrace change. Thanks for sharing the great examples.
