My comment will be met with the usual “I told you so” but at this point it really does not matter. My husband is an employee with Boeing and a member of IAM 751. He is participating in the strike with the rest of his union “brothers & sisters”. We prepared for the loss of his paychecks the best we could, by saving every penny and forgoing all the extras. At this point we are down to nothing, our checking account is less than zero, the cabinets are bare and I have gone without my medication for over a week. He will be returning to work on Monday regardless of the vote. For all those who would call him a SCAB, know this, he walked the line until we had NOTHING! We went to the union and they basically said they could not help us. A roof over our head and food on the table is more important right now then arguing over a few dollars of COLA.
