I had a problem a while back that my phone wouldn't find a service. After tinkering for a while, I realized that I needed to make sure that the 3G option was on, because, being in Canada, there was never any 2G service, for my carrier anyway, so if the 3G option was turned on, it couldn't find a service.

Did you follow the directions at the top of this forum? As for getting it out of recovery mode, I always use Tiny Umbrella version 4.01.03, which is an older version. It's gives me the boot out from recovery mode every time.

I downloaded two, one from this site and one from Apple. I think I used the one from Apple.

All I did was use the latest version of Redsn0w (9.6b5) and when it asked for a file I used iPhone1.2.4.2.1_8C148 Restore.

So I may in fact be running a new version, but the info on my phone says 4.0. Once that was all done, I just did the normal ultrasn0w unlock through Cydia.

That's what it says when I go into the "About" section. Version 4.0 (8A293).

Just unlocked my 3G. Now running iOS 4.0 with BB 6.15. Easy as pie. Thanks Dev Team for the outstanding work.

First, it's not an excuse. Second, I took a look at some of your previous posts/replies. Sure looks like you don't provide any help, just sarcasm.

So with that, why don't you find somewhere else to post your sarcasm? I don't think anyone one here could care or less about much you have to say.

I have a question I'm hoping someone can give me an answer. To make a long story short, I had my 3G jailbroken and unlocked. Then I upgraded my 3G to OS 4.1before I read not to. So now my phone has bootloader 5.9, baseband 5.14 and OS 3.1.3(although I can change it). Is there anyway for me to unlock my phone now, or will I have to wait until OS 4.2 is released? Thanks
