If you personally find someone you want to help and "pay it forward" then good on you. It is a good thing when you personally choose to do it. However, forcing taxpayers to take money they have worked for and pay for someone's education isn't "charity", especially if they are already working on paying for their own education.
No, but demanding that everyone else be required to pay for that education certainly is.
Who'd have guessed a bunch of people protesting for "free" stuff other people pay for have a tendency to steal?
With any luck, that gnawing sound you hear is OWS eating itself...
This sounds harsh, but if you don't resist arrest you're not likely to have "excessive force" used on you.
Oh the irony of Moore calling someone else a "heart-breaking disappointment".
"Everything is in grabbing distance. Why the F*&%, why the F&%$, why the F&%$ isn't it ours..." Cause you didn't work for it you tool. (on a side note, who knew Porky Pig had a potty mouth?)
Come on down again sometime! My wife and I love it here (the heat and humidity are a bit much sometimes). We're originally from Tennessee but moved here from the Seattle area so I understand what you mean about loving the natural beauty of an area but not necessarily the social problems/politics of a place. Here in the South there are still some people who haven't gotten over their prejudices, but they are fewer and fewer these days. Besides, it's hard to beat the southern hospitality and sweet tea :)
Not a Perry supporter myself, but when progressives go apoplectic over "ignorant, backward, racist, Southerners", I have to chuckle to myself over the fact that I live in the 1st Congressional district of Charleston, SC where I am represented by a black conservative Republican. The Irony is delicious.
He's right, meat is murder.....tasty, tasty murder...
