Yeah jobs went overseas because people who are in Mitt Romney's group of friends realized they couldn't make as much of a profit here where unions fought for employers' rights, decent wages, and an acceptable workday. If there were no unions people here would be working like those overseas with harsh working conditions and little pay (example-Apple). All big company owners care about is making a profit. Unions fought for the employers' rights and they left because they couldn't make as large a profit anymore. Do you even realize that the eight-hour workday was started through socialism and unions?

Huge increase in new auto jobs? Why? Just say thanks to Obama. (Unless maybe you would rather prefer the conservative idea of allowing everything to crash to the bottom)

To Jamesb,

You've called this person, dingchavez, many names but I think you can stop now. You've masterfully displayed your lack of intelligence, lack of ability to engage yourself in any sort of debate with someone who holds a different opinion than your own, and your personality reflects that of a spoiled child who can't get his way.

But anyway, dingchavez owned you in this small conversation.

I'm guessing that now you're going to reply and call me pathetic, a coward, a nazi, and a communist...But please, make sure you put your apostrophes in the right place and spell the words correctly

Obama represents the majority of the population who elected him in a democratic process, whether you come to accept that fact or not. He represents certain groups who happen to make up the majority. And please, your comment about women who love to murder their babies is unnecessary. Pro-life advocates are mostly driven by Christian beliefs. And if you haven't noticed, not everyone in this country is a Christian. It's funny how conservatives speak of individual liberties and not wanting the government to interfere with their own business and yet they expect the government to enforce laws banning abortion. If you don't agree with abortion, don't do it. Simple as that. Let those "sinners" do what they want. At the end of the day, you have no say as to what a woman decides is in the best interest.

And you, my friend, are just another crappy person in general who speaks as if he knows the good of the world by viewing problems in his own eyes and none others. And really, those types have been reserved a seat at the bottom of hell since the beginning of their support for oppression and injustice.

That makes no sense whatsoever. So colleges and universities are obligated to raise their price of tuition because the government provides loans to students who aren't able to pay the cost? If it was so affordable, no loans would've been taken out. But I guess you find it okay for a college to raise tuition to unreasonable prices because the average person was gaining access to education by the government. Please, the horrors that would come from an average Joe attending college and trying to get an education.

"since about the 1930s, if not before"..ever heard of the Great Depression? The New Deal was implemented by Roosevelt to revive the country from the mess your free market capitalism produced, and began successful programs, most notably Social Security.

You're talking about such a "successful system" yet I don't see anything successful about it when the vast majority of African-Americans in this country weren't benefiting at all. About 22 million at that time. But capitalism has kept on in this country and after civil rights efforts finally people are starting to see this system isn't based on race, but on social class, hence all racial and ethnic groups are suffering.

First of all many of the ideologies of fascism disagree with that of Marxism and Socialism.
Second, this free market capitalism that "made this country great" has kept African-Americans, (more recently Latinos), and Whites struggling for common needs to succeed in a modern society, such as an affordable education, etc., etc. Technically G.W. Bush was your leader who brought free market capitalism and look what it did to the economy (And please don't try to deny that. Even your senator from Indiana spoke of this point in his response).

And lastly, "We," as I come to recognize regards "We the People" and the most recent electoral process elected Barack Obama as President. So with all due respect, your "We" represents the minority of this country's population.

GM also has the most sales: 9 million vehicles were sold in 2011. And of course it hasn't paid it back yet. You don't pay back 52 billion dollars overnight, let alone a three year period when the first part was mainly focused on rebuilding the company. Give it time and you'll see that the loan will be paid back in its entirety.

I feel sorry for you. Not once did I say or mention that I thought the "liberal political mindset" is superior. And actually, just for your information, I disagree with as much liberal politics as I do conservative politics. Both parties are corrupt and make promises that sound good to the ear but are deceiving. Since this is a Republican site, I prefer to speak against many Republican claims and misinterpretation of facts, trying to get others to look at proposals and ideas with an open mind, anything that could benefit the country and globe as a whole, instead of solely committing themselves to conservative ideas.

But I've come to the conclusion that you are one of those who lack the desire to view eye to eye with anyone who differs with your own opinions (and that's all that they are: opinions. Not facts). Like I said I feel sorry for you.

Thank you for reenforcing my original post. Reread it and maybe you would be able to recognize yourself as one of those whom I've described as thinking that only their ideas are worth any substance.
And no offense but replies such as your last have no place in any sort of political discussion.

more than 500,000 youths now have healthcare insurance. that's 500,000 more than if "obamacare" hadn't been implemented. I guess you would rather have people not have such a necessity and rather let them go uninsured. Your idea greatly represents the lack of compassion for human life that "conservatives" have, only interested in their personal gain from decreased taxes. Obsessed with money and self absorbed describes a large majority of Republicans perfectly. You can't even see the help that "obamacare" gives to thousands of Americans
