Very well said!! I agree with that too. Read all those other post about people reasons for why, where, and because. Unreal. I guess those are the people who are not thinking of there fellow Americans only themsleves, Thats why we are in the mess were in now!!! Everyone out for themseleves! Boy we are really setting a great "Example" of America and our future GENERATIONS to come....

PLEASE AMERICANS!!!!! Listen too what you are writing "WE" all should be thinking if HGTV is in serach for building an American dream home for some family to win and maybe not in the best shape too "Afford" what ever comes attached too the deal is absured!!! Build a home for families that NEED it with no strings attached let the "goverment" pick up the tab for once!! Look at the people from "hurricane" Katrina their still Homeless among others in this "COUNTRY" We all should be asking why? is HGTV doing this for anyway why arent they building for those in need? Taxes will rise anyway cause the government cant stand to not have more money then the average American "ever" There building in areas that dont need it!! Green or not green its still going to cost us all!!! Dreams we should all be dreaming and being grafefull what we all have right in front of us and as Americans we all should be "Paying it Forward" too all for free!! I know someone who "gave", us all who believes, VERY FREELY no strings attached (J E S U S). That whats wrong with America where all Spoiled!!! we've lost our touch to others, other countries envyed us because we were like that, now I know they have voiced there opinons and "Blame" us Americans for the Economy mess were in, some dont care to others they do. Imagine if its hard in NY its hard everywhere in the country!! Come on even the Rich are suffering!!! (im only rich because I have my health and family)!!! Praise God.

Becareful People might think "love life by living green" and "having a dream", might mean what it use to imply by coming to "America" where the dream is "green money" and loving life and getting that dream home some day? How about "Surviving the green" by "living the dream"????

Its because we got "Spoiled" in this country and the goverment doesent want us too save!! They want it all they keep the bags because the business will buy them then theres trash then more recycling pay taxes on it. Its like a circle and the goverment wins!! But dont give up it for our future to better our Kids and grand kids etc... Remenber the Europeans dont have the "Whole World" living in America less people to control LOL. Oh Live Lean and Go Green great Motto I wish people would follow it.

Katydid, thanks yes I have seen the other posts and I am a garderner but many people can grow there own items no matter where, because where there's a will there's a way. And theres nothing wrong buying locally its just that even though they are suffering eco times its possible there prices rise and the buyer will suffer a bit if its too pricey. Wish we can go back too "sharing" to those who need it most. I wish this will be the year that many "Gardners" would take a piece of there gardening and donate it just too share to those in need no questions asked. May be a local business or Resturant or Juice shop, Hospital, Ronald Mc Donald House, Children Hospital, Red Cross, a FireHouse ,The Homeless and a neighbor etc... And no bad point intended but you dont have to be a new blogger to get tips in today's generation We All should be doing our Part in this "God" given land. May God bless us All!!

Going Green? What happened too the way it use too be? Why are we going backwords, with the ECONOMY as it is today all the Recycling, organic growing, water filtrations, gases,organic foods, remodeling homes to save, saving energy? Most Americans past generations and this "Generation" Has wasted then and now,will still waste today, because we live in a country that is spoiled! Waste and going Green is Contradicting our Lives on this earth. If we grow it and work hard we would appreciate, but theres Organic stores we spend more money thinking we are buying whats good and its so much more expensive to do. We should all live in a gated glasshouse where the solar can heat up naturally and when its cold invent heated "blinds" and carpet floors (non fibers) for warmth and for cooler floors roll up carpet and store away. Everyone (seed) cultivate there own fruits and vegtables. Imagine if we all had wood stoves ??. How great those ashes would be for the "Earth". Remember when we wore cloth diapers, and made our own soaps and candles or washed clothes on a rock? Come on im only 48yrs old and we made up our own games and interacted with our kids without waste in any means at all. Our kids today waste more ELECTRICTY then any Kid in other countries in one day. Its Our faults (PARENTS) that let those waste happen. I would be grateful to win the "HDTV GREEN HOUSE",but lets come to reality and then we can go "Green" because going green is Very expensive and America is in too much DEBT as it is!!.
